    Here you will track Chimpanzees in Kyambura gorge and in Kibale forest. You will take a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel viewing hippos, crocodiles and various species of birds. This trip allows you to see various species of game in queen Elizabeth park as you take game drives searching for these attractive species including, kobs, elephants, buffaloes and many more.

    This is a bi-country tour combining primates and game in both Rwanda and Uganda. The trip starts from kigali Rwanda and ends from Entebbe Uganda. On this trip, you will visit Nwungwe and park to Parc National des volcans park where you will track mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. You will visit Queen Elizabeth and Kibale forest parks in Uganda. Here you will track Chimpanzees in Kyambura gorge and in Kibale forest.     The trip starts from kigali Rwanda and ends from Entebbe Uganda. On this trip, you will visit Nwungwe and park to Parc National des volcans park where you will track mountain gorillas and golden monkeys.

    Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

    On your arrival at Kigali International airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and transfer to Kigali town.

    Day 2: Nyungwe Forest

    After breakfast you will head for Nyungwe Forest National Park. Make stops en route at places of interest including local markets, the traditional palace of Rwanda’s Former King in Nyanza. You will visit the Botanical Gardens and a cultural museum in Butare, You will have Lunch en route before proceeding to Nyungwe Forest across cute hilly sceneries modified by tea plantations en route.

    Day 3: Primate Tracking- Nyungwe

    You will go primate tracking in the forest in search for chimpanzees. Time permitting, you will continue on a guided nature walk in the forest searching for birds including; the black and white casqued hornbill, turaco and many others, the forest has over 300 species of birds. On the forest walk you will also see Gisakura water falls.

    Day 4: Nyungwe Forest – Parc National des Volcans

    Parc National des Volcans Found in the north of Rwanda, the park habituates approximately 300 mountain gorilla species. Ten Gorilla families are habituated for tracking. They include; Mahoro and Umubano families found on the Visoke volcano, Hirwa family on the Sabinyo volcano and Sabinyo family located between the Sabinyo and Visoke volcanoes. There are also Susa family with 35 individuals on the Karisimbi volcano and 13 individuals on the Sabinyo volcano. There is Kwitonda family as well. Each of the Gorilla families allows a maximum of 8 tourists tracking per day. On addition to gorilla tracking, you may also climb the Visoke volcano and track other primates including golden monkeys. You will also visit the Dian Fossey’s Karisoke Research Centre on a village walk.

    You will go for a nature walk in the morning and rest for lunch before transferring  toParc National des volcans. You will see stunning sceneries of hills/volcanoes en route to Kinigi.

    Day 5: Parc National des Volcans [PNV]-Gorilla Tracking

    After breakfast, you will depart for the headquarters of the Park for briefing before starting to track gorillas. After an hour of experiencing one of the closest primates to humans, you will retire for lunch. Afternoon at leisure or visit local communities.

    Day 6: Par National des Volcans-Kisoro-Uganda

    Track the golden monkeys before transfer to Kisoro in south western Uganda

    Day 7: Kisoro-Lake Bunyonyi

    Kisoro is located under the peaks of the Mufumbiro Mountains, which are part of the Virunga Mountains and home to rare mountain gorillas. Mountain scenery, Lake Mutanda, colorful markets, and volcano trekking also are available for visitors to Kisoro. It is the nearest town to the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and is an access town for those traveling to Rwanda or the DRC for gorilla tracking in the Volcanoes National Park or the Virunga National Park

    Go for a guided nature walk in Mt Mgahinga National Park, climb a volcano and visit the beautiful Lake Mutanda in the volcanoes region. Break for lunch in Kisoro and thereafter transfer to lakeBunyonyi in Kabale.

    Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi-Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park and go for an Afternoon game drive.

    Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Wake up early in the morning for today’s visit to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking, an encounter with this man’s closest primate is a remarkable experience you will ever have. In the afternoon, you will be taken for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel where you will be able to see wildlife like Elephants, Hippos, Crocodile and different bird species. You will also go for an evening game drive to search for more animals in the park.

    Day 10: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kibale Forest National Park

    Go for a morning game drive searching for game especially the early morning raisers and later transfer to kibale forest park arriving late in the afternoon.

    Day 12: Kibale Forest National Park-Chimpanzee Tracking

    Track the closest brothers of human in kibale forest the highly populated in the region, Kibale is a tropical rain forest with other primates like bush babies, baboons, black-and-white colobus, red-tailed monkey, and several bird species together with trees including the Elephant beer tree, all can be spotted on a nature walk in the forest. Take a lunch break and head to Bigodi for a swamp walk on the trails by the local community.

    Day 13: Kibale Forest National Park-Entebbe

    You will drive back to Kampala city, making a stop by the equator for photos and then continue to Entebbe airport via Kampala city (Uganda). Fly out.
