The 9 Days Pytilia Adventure Safari will visit the three most important national parks in Uganda; Murchison Falls national park for an adventure safari, Queen Elizabeth national park for additional great tour, and Bwindi Impenetrable national park for an amazing Mountain gorilla trekking tour.
You will proceed to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. During this Uganda expedition, you experience Gorilla tracking in Bwindi impenetrable forest and the chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge of Queen Elizabeth national park.
Experience bird watching and game drives along the park’s trails. Uganda weather is unique and the people are probably the sociable in Africa. As for accommodation, you can choose between Classic, Midrange, and Budget depending on your preference.
Day 1: On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our representative will welcome and transfer you to Kampala overnight.
Day 2: The spectacular Murchison falls on the Nile: After an early breakfast, leave Kampala heading northwest. Optional: Visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a nature walk to see the rare rhinos in the wild.
Lunch en-route. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, with a stopover on the top of the falls, where you can see River Nile’s perfected attractiveness and genius as it cuddles through a seven-meter valley.
This 43-meter drop of the falls forms a roaring thunder and a gorgeous rainbow in the spray. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3” The boat cruise on the River Nile. Drive towards the Northern part of the park for a game drive and take photos of elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, hippos, giraffes, Uganda kobs, lions, and if you are lucky, the leopards, plus a variety of bird species.
After lunch, proceed for a two-hour boat-cruise to the foot of the enormous Murchison falls. This is a chance to see the wonderful hippos and crocodiles along the riverbanks. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Fort Portal in the shadows of the Mountains of the Moon. Depart from Murchison Falls NP driving Southwest through the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley. Lunch en-route.
Take a drive through Hoima and grasp the colorful and gorgeous town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, located in the shadows of the impressive Mountains of the Moon, the Rwenzori. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Pearl of Uganda. After breakfast drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Have a game drive en-route arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. After lunch, adore the two-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel see the remarkable birdlife and a variety of wild animals. Take an evening drive to the crater lakes region is gratifying. Dinner & overnight.
Day 6: The habituated chimpanzees of Kyambura Gorge. Have an early morning cup of coffee or tea before setting off for a game drive along the Kasenyi track and Queen’s mile in the park and expect to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and lots of animals and birds. Get back to the lodge for breakfast.
After lunch, drive to Kyambura gorge for a forest walk in search of the habituated chimpanzees and other primates. The chimps are quite mobile and viewing them is unpredictable but the walk is a great adventure. This gorge is 16 km long on the Rift Valley and 100 meters deep. Dinner & overnight.
Day 7: The tree climbing lions in Ishasha. After breakfast, drive through Ishasha sector of the park in search of the tree-climbing lions. Have packed lunch and after drive proceeds to Bwindi for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: The dreamlike adventure with the mountains gorillas. Early breakfast and briefing from the guides before you set off for the mountain gorilla tracking in the Bwindi forest. You are advised to carry drinking water, packed lunch, a rain jacket, and jungle boots while the rangers will provide you with a walking stick and a porter where need be.
Gorilla tracking is inspirational and satisfying as you walk through the thick rainforest. After tracking, set off on a scenic journey to Kabale through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced scenery. This place is referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 9: The tremendous scenery of Lake Bunyonyi. This day starts with a two-hour boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi around the numerous islands on the lake for bird watching, sightseeing, and discovering the sites of the Bakiga culture. Return to Kampala with lunch en-route.
On the way back you will see Ankole long-horned cattle, banana plantations, drum makers, papyrus swamps, roadside barbecue, and pleasant people to bargain with, arriving on time for an evening flight back.
